Atelier

Over the years, working as an urban beekeeper, the bees have significantly influenced Alessandra’s artistic practice. She has adopted a sustainable approach by repurposing wooden frames from her beehives to serve as the borders for some of her pieces. This not only gives a unique character to the artworks but also celebrates the life cycle of the materials. Her paintings exist out of bee pollen pigments and beeswax, which gives a distinctive colour to her work that is derived directly from nature. Her fascination with bees extends to the creation of wooden sculptures, where she draws inspiration from the intricate shapes of honeycombs. This blend of natural materials and themes underscores her commitment to showcase the beauty and importance of bees in our ecosystem.

Some of her work will be showcased in various exhibitions in 2026. Subscribe to the newsletter to receive updates on the artistic journey.
